The ultimate office cleaning checklist

Cleaning your office daily must be a priority for a local Puget Sound business. Daily and weekly cleaning create a healthy office environment, which would tempt everyone to work with their full potential and contribute towards the overall productivity. However, we often tend to miss out certain things while we focus on cleaning the office. That is where we thought of providing you with an office cleaning checklist. If you can stick to this checklist, you will be able to get the cleaning job done without missing out anything.

Day to day office cleaning work

  - You need to make sure that you empty all the trash cans at your office in daily basis. Along with that, it is                            important to replace the liners as well. All the trash should be properly disposed as well to avoid smelly odor.

   - It is a common sight to see how the office floors get spoiled by different liquids. This can make office floors messy             and sticky. You need to use a sanitizing solution to clean the floors of the office and make sure that they don’t result           in  any notorious buildups.

  - Hard surfaces that you can find around the office are mostly dirty. Therefore, you should pay extra attention                      towards cleaning them. You need to dust mop them on a regular basis.

  - Most of the people tend to ignore telephones when cleaning the office. However, telephones have been able to                 receive a bad reputation for gaining lots of germs. If you want to keep the employees healthy, you need to make               sure you clean all the telephones at your office on a regular basis.

  - It is a common sight to see coffee rings on the desk surfaces. You need to make sure that you are getting rid of these          coffee rings with the help of proper damp wiping clothes. You should be doing this on a daily basis.

 - There is a possibility for dust to get accumulated in the horizontal surfaces of your office. They include hairs, desks,        cabinets and all other types of furnishings that you have at office. You need to focus on them and get rid of the                  accumulation of dust.

 - In case if your office has carpets, you need to make sure that you do vacuum cleaning on them in regular basis. Then      you will be able to prevent the buildup of dust and debris on top of carpets with foot traffic.

 - Employees will often leave their fingerprints on the glass surfaces. You should damp wipe them as well.

Cleaning the restrooms

         - It is important to stock all the restrooms in the office with clean towels, tissues, and hand soap.

         - All the sanitary bins located in the toilets should be wiped and emptied on a regular basis.

         - You need to ensure polishing the mirrors in the office and clean them at all times.

         - You should think about using a proper disinfectant to clean the toilet seats, along with their covers.

         - Toilets and urinals are highly vulnerable places to germs in the toilet. Therefore, you should wipe and sanitize                  them. You need to do it both inside and out.

         - It is a common sight to see splash marks on the restroom walls. You need to wipe them in a timely manner, so                   that you can make sure that they don’t result in permanent stains at the end of the day.

Cleaning the office during lunch breaks

         - Mop the floor of the lunchroom on a daily basis.

         - Wipe all the tables and countertops that you can find in the lunchroom.

         - Empty all the trash cans on a daily basis.

         - Clean the interiors of fridges and microwaves to make sure that no bacteria builds up.

         - Stop up napkins, cups, and utensils.

         - Clean all the coffee machines.

Weekly cleaning activities to do

         - Deep clean all the cabinets in the office.

         - Wax all the floors at the office.

         - Make sure that you are cleaning all the other areas, which are not subjected to day-to-day cleaning work that you              do.

Monthly cleaning activities to do

         - You need to make sure that you are getting a thorough cleaning job done on a monthly basis. For example, you                 should machine rub all the hard surfaces that you have in the office. You should also apply new finish on the                     surfaces.

         - All the carpets that you have in the office should be extracted. Then you will be able to clean the surfaces under               them.

         - You should properly wipe all the door handles, switches, and door prints.

         - You need to upholster furniture as well.

Stick to this office cleaning checklist, and you will be able to keep the office clean at all times.
