The Ultimate Office Cleaning Checklist for Banks

Having a cleaning routine for your office must be a priority for any type of business. Daily, weekly and monthly cleaning creates a fresh, healthy office environment that employees will look forward to being in. A warm, clean, inviting environment encourages your team to work to their full potential and contribute towards their best performance for overall productivity. However, we often tend to miss certain things that need attention in our office because we are too busy with our day-to-day operations.

Beyond employee’s health, investing in a clean, well-kept environment will help build your client’s trust with your financial center the instant they walk in (especially with disinfecting on everyone's mind)! People make their first impressions of your bank immediately and then continuously throughout each visit. You can ensure each impression your bank makes is a positive one by partnering with a qualified cleaning company that will maintain each of the following high-traffic areas:

ATM Stations - The ATM stations may be the highest traffic areas in your entire facility. The floors must be kept free of debris, and the ATM screens and keypads must be kept disinfected and hygienic for day-to-day usage.

Waiting Area - The waiting area is where your client's experience typically begins and plays an important part of the client's overall experience. Everything should be neat and clean thoroughly daily.

Offices - Many important meetings and financial decisions happen in a bank’s individual offices. Daily cleaning of desk areas, chairs, floor spaces, windows and decor will create a welcoming and clean environment for your clients.

Teller Stations - Teller stations are the most used areas within a financial center. These stations should be disinfected (for both client and teller), free of trash and organized areas to show the client you care about them.

Restrooms - Keeping clean restrooms is a priority for any business. Restrooms that are dirty or not stocked with toiletries shows the client that you have little concern for their health.

Break Rooms - Though clients may never see this space, an untidy break room can harbor unwanted germs and pests.

Day to day office cleaning tasks:

-You need to make sure that all the trash cans at your office are emptied daily. It is important to replace the liners              as well. All the trash and recycling should be properly disposed.

-Hard flooring needs to be swept completely and mopped with a sanitizing solution to clean the floors of the                     office clean and free of buildup.

-Hard surfaces need to be wiped with a microfiber rag with disinfectant. Pay attention to the dust that                                    accumulates  behind and under items.

         - Most people tend to ignore cleaning the telephones however, telephones have a bad reputation for harboring                 germs. If you want to keep your employees healthy, you need to make sure that all the telephones at your office               are cleaned daily with disinfectant.

-Tables, counters, kiosks, and desks need to be disinfected daily.

-Dust is the devil! It accumulates in and on every surface of your office. This includes hair, dander, mold and dirt                as well. Dusting must be made as a constant cleaning routine.

-Vacuuming must be done on a regular basis in order to prevent the buildup of dust and debris in carpets, made                  worse by heavy foot traffic.

-Employees and customers will often leave their fingerprints on the glass surfaces. These should be wiped daily.

Restroom Cleaning

-It is important to stock all the restrooms in the office with paper towels, tissues, toilet paper and hand soap.

-All the sanitary bins located in the restrooms should be disinfected and emptied on a regular basis.

-Mirrors should shine! Clean and polish these nightly.

-You should think about what you are using to clean the toilet seats. A hospital grade disinfectant would be the best              choice, given toilets are teeming with germs.

-Toilets and urinals should be wiped and disinfected, both inside and out.

-It is a common sight to see splash marks on the restroom walls. These need to be wiped in a timely manner, so                  they do not result in permanent stains.

Cleaning the Break Room

        -  Mop the floor of the break room daily.

        -  Wipe all the tables, countertops, and sinks.

        -  Empty all the trash cans daily.

        -  Clean out the fridge before the end of the day.

        -  Stock up napkins, cups and utensils.

        -  Clean all the coffee machines.

Weekly Cleaning

      - Deep clean all the cabinets in the office.

      - Make sure that you are cleaning all the other areas, which are not subjected to day-to-day cleaning work that you             do.

Monthly Cleaning

     - You need to make sure that you are getting a thorough cleaning job done on a monthly basis. For example, you                 should machine rub all the hard surfaces that you have in the office. You should also apply new finish on the                     surfaces.

     - All the carpets that you have in the office should be extracted. Then you will be able to clean the surfaces under               them.

     - You should properly wipe all the door handles, switches and door prints.

     - You need to upholster furniture as well.

Stick to this office cleaning checklist, and you will always be able to keep the office neat and clean.
